Relaxation.
Nitrous Oxide
A mild sedative inhaled through a nose mask. Takes effect quickly and wears off just as fast — you can drive yourself home.
Oral Conscious Sedation
A prescription pill taken before your appointment. You remain conscious but deeply relaxed and may have little memory of the procedure.
IV Sedation
Administered through a vein for a deeper level of sedation. Ideal for longer procedures or patients with significant anxiety.

Is sedation dentistry safe?
Yes. All sedation methods we use are clinically proven and administered by trained professionals. We monitor you throughout your entire appointment.
Will I be unconscious?
Not with nitrous oxide or oral sedation — you remain conscious and able to respond. IV sedation produces a deeper state but is not general anaesthesia.
How long do the effects last?
Nitrous oxide wears off within minutes. Oral sedation may leave you drowsy for several hours — arrange a driver for these appointments.
Can children receive sedation dentistry?
Yes. We offer appropriate sedation options for children who are anxious or require more complex treatment. We will discuss the safest option during your consultation.
